Former Prime Minister and inspiration, Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathed his last on 17th August 2018 at AIIMS, New Delhi.

One of the most admired leaders of our country, Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee played an important role in shaping India’s various segments including the education industry. Being regarded as a man with vision, he outsourced his power in order to transform and bring stability to the primary education industry.

Coming into existence since 2000, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) was the brainchild of Vajpayee, to shape and transform India’s education industry. The project focused on providing free, compulsory, and quality education to children between the ages of 6-14.

His mission provided many seeds of ideas for great businesses, which, in turn, transformed a generation. Here we will discuss how his ideas paved a way for a generation of edupreneurs:

Introduce projects similar to Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan

In this tough competitive industry, franchisors can come up with projects like SSA, providing ease and proper education to the students.

With people getting more inclined towards experience, coming up with new projects can allow educators to mark their presence in the industry, transforming the education and the personal business both.

Reduces school dropouts

As per a statement by the Centre released in 2013, the school dropout has declined from 80 lakh in 2009 to 30 lakh in 2012 due to the success of the SSA.

At present, there is 19.67 crore children enrolled in 14.5 lakh elementary schools in the country with 66.27 lakh teachers at the elementary level, as per SSA official website.

It is believed that such campaigns and projects lead to better academic statistics and results. Entrepreneurs could provide opportunities for students, to showcase their skills and utilizing the project for their future development.

Thus, politicians and entrepreneurs can respectively work towards creating a better and educated nation, providing opportunities to everyone.
