Child supplements are being demanded at an increasing pace in India. The government sets up manufacturing and awareness campaigns to promote health and wellness for parents looking for ways to boost their children’s physical growth. Demand has been growing both from individuals and institutions looking to enhance their children’s overall health. Child supplements come in various forms and include proteins, vitamins, minerals, peptides, and whey. As nutritional supplements become more specialized, parents will continue to look for alternatives that provide better value.

Foods supplements help children grow faster and become stronger throughout their lives. A child also needs to exert a great deal of energy so that he or she can make messes all day. In this fast running living it gets impossible to fulfil their all energy and body demands. Most parents are unaware of their kid’s body needs and end up making them malnourished. The Nutraceutical industry understood and tried to fulfil all the market demands by research and development of required products. The kid's health beverage market alone has experienced a never seen before growth in the last 3-4 years. The estimated is being around 7000 crores out of which premium nutrition is growing at 12 per cent year-on-year.

Demand for child supplements is also increasing all across the world, with parents looking for ways to increase their child's physical and intellectual growth. Almost half of the Indian households now have a child under the age of nine years old. Additionally, the number of children under the age of ten who were taking supplements grew from 28 per cent to 43 per cent between 2000 and 2010, reports Euro monitor International. This has spurred manufacturers to develop more targeted programs designed to assist families in attaining optimal health for their children.

Covid and Immunity

Covid-19 has made devastating damage to the human race. Though this pandemic is in control now and vaccines are working very fine for it, parents are very much tensed for their children’s future. They are trying their best to make their kids safe from the virus. Immunity is the only way to fight back and win from this situation. People from various parts of the country are searching and buying food supplements to fulfil the energy and immunity demands of their kids.

Changing Lifestyle

Technology has changed our lives in many ways. Kids who used to play physical games with their friends are now playing on smartphones. Also, industrialization and shrinking of the world gave access to various harmful fast foods which said to be tasty but have a lot of side effects. Fast foods are not only low in energy and nutrients but also full of bad cholesterol. The food supplement market is growing as this fast food is not able to provide essential nutrients and fibres.
