Tech major Wipro has announced a funding approval of 220 crore for setting up of a manufacturing unit in Telangana to produce toilet soaps and other personal care products,
The announcement was officialy made by the company’s director Rishad Premji at World Congress on Information Technology in Hyderabad.
The project will take up 40 acre land parcel in Maheshwaram mandal of Ranga Reddy district and will provide employment to more than 300 people.
Speaking on the sidelines of World Congress on Information Technology in Hyderabad, Telangana minister for IT K. T. Rama Rao said, “Wipro has a good presence in the state and its new manufacturing unit will boost the progress of the industrial sector in Telangana”.
The minister also called on the company to seek other investment policies in the state.
