Women are contributing in all fields including science, politics and business while juggling her family and professional responsibilities very well. There are many businesses in which women have played a big role and have taken those businesses to the heights. If we talk about beauty, then there are many start-ups and companies which are still doing great work in the field of personal care. Vandana Luthra, the founder of VLCC is one such big name who has taken her business forward in the beauty and wellness sector. This company was established in the year 1989. The business is spread across 12 countries in South Asia, South East Asia and East Africa. This company provides service to customers at 310 locations in 143 cities.

Naturals Salon founder Veena Kumaravel started the beauty salon in the year 2000 with the support of her husband CK Kumaravel. Today Naturals is the most prominent chain of salons in India. She has done her studies in commerce and she always wanted to open a salon of her own. Ten years of hard work and business acumen brought her business parallel to the legendary salons that were ruling the industry before Naturals.

Advaita Nair is the co-founder of Nykaa and CEO of its fashion vertical. She did her graduation from Harvard Business School. Her mother Falguni Nair credits Advaita for the success of Nayka. Nykaa Fashion launched in the year 2018. Currently, it has over 1,500 brands across five consumer categories. It offers products across multiple categories including western wear, Indian wear, lingerie, footwear, bags, jewellery, accessories, home decor, bath, bed and kitchen. The platform offers a mix of national brands, international brands, luxury brands, emerging labels and designers.

Aastha Almast, the co-founder of The New Shop, has worked with leading companies such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, S&P Capital IQ and many more prior to joining the company. She holds a degree from IIM-Calcutta. The New Shop was established in the year 2019. This omni-channel retail store chain offers daily necessities, snacks and beverages, pet care items, confectionery and other items. It remains open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Aastha manages business development, strategic partnerships, HR and compliance for The New Shop.

She is a serial entrepreneur who is always looking for solutions to simplify businesses, making them more productive and efficient. She started acting when she was still in school and got a role in a Bollywood film. During her graduation, she joined her father's stock broking firm, making her the youngest certified stock-broker of the National Stock Exchange.
