- Women’s only outlet from Reebok’s stable
There’s a shift in the marketing strategy of Reebok which is now planning to take on the market with a special focus on women’s wear segment. The purpose is to "Befriending our women customers", explains Sajid Shamim, Director, Director – Marketing and Products, Reebok India Company. Reebok’s campaign ‘I am More’ with several women celebrities as the brand ambassadors is tuned to this women-centric approach. Currently, Reebok, part of Adidas AG of Germany, has 700 retail outlets and keeping with the women-centric thematic appeal, the company has opened a franchised ‘women only’ outlet at Chennai. The franchise is owned by a group of four women. It is the first-of-its-kind retail outlet from Reebok in South India. The shop will stock sportswear, casual wear and footwear products, catering mainly to young women. The shop is located at Khader Nawaz Khan Road. The company is presently engaged in creating new product lines for women to get the best of the burgeoning lifestyle space as revealed by Shamim. Strategically housed in a building where a women’s gym, beauty parlour and food joint are present, a woman here can burn her calories, tone up her facial skin and can have some yummy bites besides going on a shopping spree.
