- Wonderland Plans to Open More Centers in New Delhi via Franchising
Wonderland, an early learning institution, which started with 15 students in 2012, has reached to 50,000 students in 2018, in just span of six years.
The journey of this early learning institution began when the founders, Pradeep Jolly, and Sugandh Jolly, could not find a right preschool for their daughter.
Jolly says, “Wonderland has touched the lives of more than 50,000 children and parents in only 6 years.”
Overall Growth & Learning of Children
The early period in a child’s learning is crucial because it shapes the future of the child. Hence preschool’s contribution towards the child’s overall growth & learning is as much of importance as his/her parents, which the founders found missing in most preschools.
Jolly adds, “Our programs have been designed to support the educational needs of children from 18 months to 5 years. The Adult and Child Program involves both the child and his parents to learn together as they explore art, the environment, music, movement, and storytelling. The student is accompanied by the parent to ensure the child has a sense of safety. The other 3 programs encourage the child to be independent with no parent involvement. The programs have been designed to instill creativity and to help develop important life-skills.”
Understanding the Interest of Kids
It is not only irresponsible but inhuman to mold a child’s interest into something as per convenience, which is why to understand a child’s interest the institution should be capable enough to produce as many options for the child’s interest and how to shape it.
Jolly believes that it is their responsibility to provide every kid, what he/she deserves.
“Frequent art and craft and music workshops are organized in the school. To ensure our children imbibe the right set of qualities and grow to become compassionate adults, we offer to conduct workshops on subjects like organic farming, care for animals, adopt a pet, save the environment, know your food, etc. This ensures that children develop empathy and love for all creatures and towards their environment. No two kids are the same. Every child has different needs. When we see that a child has no interest in a particular activity, we introduce the child to something new which is of his interest.”
Expansion Plans
Jolly shares, “I would like to start by setting up more centers in Delhi via franchising before I move out of my territory. We are looking at expected revenue of 30-35%, i.e., 2 million dollars by end of 2020. We are also planning to kick off our third education wing, Wonderland Early Learning Centers with 10 additional centers.”
