Woodland India - an outdoor wear brand, is looking forward to reach out to small cities and towns via the franchise route. The brand is targeting multiple locations to reach out to the franchisees. Woodland mainly sells its products through company-owned, multi-brand and shop-in-shop stores. Its total store count is around 500 and boasts of having presence in around 20 countries all over the world.
Sharing his views about the franchise model, Harkirat Singh, Managing Director, Woodland India says, “A strong franchise model will help us to penetrate into smaller areas and towns. We wish to maintain consistency when it comes to customer experience across both company owned and franchise stores.”
Woodland is owned and founded by Aero Group, which is a highly integrated firm with its own leather tanning units and production facilities in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Macau and Canada. Woodland was launched in 1992 and immediately caught the attention of outdoor enthusiasts, catering to the needs of rock climbers, backpackers, hikers, trail runners, and outdoor lovers with the perfect tools to meet the challenges of nature, thus making its tree logo became synonymous with adventure.
Apart from expertise in footwear, the brand also deals in apparels and accessories for both men and women. Its key raw material – leather, is made in house. Hand picked Italian hides are tanned and finished on Italian machinery. The unique rugged, tough rubber soles are also produced using German technology. Woodland is known for using material which is not only of high quality, but eco friendly as well.
