Woodland, one of the leading travel gear, footwear and accessories brand is looking forward to adding around 60-70 more stores in India during this fiscal.

Woodland, one of the leading travel gear, footwear and accessories brand is looking forward to adding around 60-70 more stores in India during this fiscal. It is also expanding its global footprint with a presence in over 40 countries. It is already present in some parts of South Africa, China, Hong Kong, Gulf Countries and is on the verge of foraying into Australia and select CIS countries.

“We have seen a consistent growth rate of 25-30 % over the last few years. As part of our expansion plans, we intend to invest overRs 100 crore this fiscal on expansion, diversification and manufacturing. With revenue of over Rs 1,200 crore last year from 500-plus stores, we expect to cross Rs 1,500 crore turnover this fiscal,” says Harkirat Singh, Managing Director, Woodland India, while throwing light on the brand’s business plan.

 

Woodland has over 500 exclusive company owned stores and presence in around 5000+ multi-branded outlets. The brand adopted franchise route in 2015. It also has presence across all major portals and retails through its own e-tailing venture. Woodland is known for using leather which is made in-house. Hand-picked Italian hides are tanned and finished on Italian machinery. The unique rugged, tough rubber soles are also produced using German technology.
