Global hospitality major Wyndham Hotel Group is expecting to open about 15 more properties across India by the end of 2015. The US-based chain is presently operating 24 properties within India.

Global hospitality major Wyndham Hotel Group is expecting to open about 15 more properties across India by the end of 2015. The US-based chain is presently operating 24 properties within India.

"We are expecting to open about 15 new operating properties across the country by end of 2015," said Deepika Arora, Regional Vice President, Indian Ocean, Wyndham Hotel Group.

Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Darjeeling, Bengaluru, Raipur, Lucknow, Jammu and Jalandhar are among the business destinations where the group wants to expand its footprint. For expansion, the company looks ahead to extend its reach via franchise model. However, it will also be evaluating management contract options in future.

The group runs its properties under its brands including Ramada, Ramada Plaza, Ramada Encore, Days Hotel, Howard Johnson and Wyndham Grand. The chain is looking at opening 15 new properties mostly under the Ramada brand; there will be a Ramada Plaza and one Howard Johnson soon.

Wyndham Hotel Group, part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation presently has 7650 hotels in 70 countries under its different brands including Dolce Hotels and Resorts, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Ramada, Days Inn, Super 8, Wingate by Wyndham, Baymont Inn & Suites, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, TRYP by Wyndham, Howard Johnson, Travelodge and Knights Inn.
