- Xiaomi India Plans To Bring New Products For Indian Market
Chinese tech major Xiaomi is exploring new products, already available in the China market, which can be launched in India. The company competes with players such as Samsung, Vivo and Oppo in the Indian smartphone market.
Raghu Reddy, Head (Category and online sales), Xiaomi India, said, "In China, we have 80-100 categories, while in India we have only 10-12 of these. Last year alone, we introduced new categories like televisions, suitcases etc in the Indian market. We are exploring new categories that can be brought to India."
Xiaomi introduced its latest device Redmi Note 7 Pro, priced from Rs 13,999 onwards, in India. The device is featuring Snapdragon 675 chipset, 6.3-inch display, 48MP+5MP dual rear camera, 13MP front camera and 4,000 mAh battery.
The Chinese player had forayed into the Indian market through the online channel. However, the company has been focussed on aggressively expanding its offline presence over the last many months.
