- Xiaomi India Sells 2 mn Smartphones in Festive Sales So Far
Xiaomi India has announced that it has sold over 2 million smartphones in just 5 days of the festive season sale. The company identifies the premium smartphone segment as devices having a price tag of greater than Rs 20,000.

We thrive on offering products that are driven by technological innovation underpinned by great design that can help enhance the consumer’s product experience, lifestyle, and overall well-being," said Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Mi India.
The handset maker offering deals on a range of products across categories such as Mi 11 X, Mi 10i, Redmi Note 10 Series, Redmi 9 Series, among others, coupled with bank offers for consumers. Earlier, the company sold 1 lakh Smart TVs in less than 3 days of the festive sale across various platforms. On the back of a strong product portfolio, the company recorded a massive 53x jump in demand for 4k TVs.
Despite component shortages, smartphone sales have seen record numbers this year especially online channels like Flipkart and Amazon. Analysts have said that online channels can garner 53-55 percent of the market share in the second half of the year.
The sales that started last weekend are the most crucial period for smartphone makers since most of the launches and buys happen in the September-November period.
