- Xiaomi unleashes its Mi Band 2 with a price cap of Rs 1999
After striking a success story with Mi Band, Xiaomi is all set to unleash its upgraded version of fitbit gadget ‘Mi Band 2’. The improved version is set to overcome most of the challenges faced by the users in its previous version such as absence of display. The band will be launched parallelly with Mi Air Purifier.
Apart from addressing the hurdles of the previous version, the new gadget is equipped with some additional features such as OLED display of 0.42 inch, 70 mAh battery that lasts for 20 days once fully charged, accelerometer, photoelectric heart rate sensor, android 5.0+, bluetooth 4.0 etc.
The company has put a price cap of Rs 1999 on its recent device and it will hit the Indian market today. Mi Band 2 is further powered with a system that alerts the user when he receives a call or a message, while he is away from his phone. The gadget gently vibrates to notify the user about the call or a message.
Mi Band 2 also comes with an improved algorithm that fixes the inaccurate step counter in the original Mi Band. The users can lift their wrist to check the current time and tap the button for the number of steps and heart rate.
