Former Indian team cricket player Yuvraj Singh has invested an undisclosed amount in Cybiz BrightStar Restaurants, the Indian Master Franchisee of US-based fast-food chain Carl's Jr, through his investment firm YouWeCan Ventures.
Sources say he said to have invested about Rs 4 crore in it even though there is no official confirmation on the amount from the fast-food chain yet. "We are looking at opening about five restaurants in the current calendar year and between seven and 10 restaurants by the end of the fiscal year," says Sam Chopra, Chairman, Cybiz Corp.
The company looks forward to raise Rs 180 crore -Rs 200 crore over the next two years.
"The vertical of QSR, specially burgers, caught my attention in the last few months as the space has got a thumbs-up from Indian consumers. This is my first foray into this space and I am delighted to partner with an international brand of this repute," says Yuvraj.
The brand positions itself between a fine dine and quick service restaurant.
