Looking to establish a strong foothold in the wedding apparel industry, Abhishek Agarwal, a Lucknow based businessman in the garment industry signed the dotted line with Manyavar Mohey and has been reaping profits and benefits ever since.

For how long have you been a franchisee with Manyavar and why did you choose Manyavar?

When we were looking to expand in the wedding apparel market, we got to know about Manyavar. They were leading the segment and had changed the face of men ethnic wear. They were looking to expand and we associated with them in 2014 with our first brand outlet. There has been no looking back since then. 

 

How many outlets do you own and operate?

Presently, we handle all the brand outlets for Manyavar in Lucknow. So we have 10 brand showrooms, 7 of them are exclusively Manyavar and 3 of them house both the brands Manyavar and Mohey.

 

How has been your experience with Manyavar so far? And what all support and training did you receive from the brand?

Manyavar is one of the best brands to work with in this industry. They provide all round support to all their franchisees. They conduct training sessions twice a year. There are surprise checks and audits, besides an annual audit. Manyavar has a dedicated 24x7 helpline for its customers and the brand’s owner Mr Ravi Modi pays personal attention to it. He believes in the philosophy of “customer is king” and ensures all outlets resolve the issues at the earliest. This has helped us build a good reputation with customers in the long run.

 

What assistance do you get from the brand for handling business on daily basis?

Manyavar is a very professional and a tech savvy brand. They have been using AI for the last 5 years now. They have a wonderful system of auto-refilling of the stock. For eg: The moment the system detects that a kurta of a particular size has been sold, it will automatically place an order for the same and the brand will send it our way.

Also, their online tool “Manyavar Sansaar” is a very helpful and a unique feature whereby we can check for a particular piece of garment within all nearby stores, if it isn’t available with us. Via this, the same can be made available to the customer within 2 hours at the earliest. It saves a lot of time and we don’t need to make unnecessary calls to the brand.

 

What is the best aspect of Manyavar? What makes you continue the association with it?

 Manyavar treats all its franchisees equally. No discrimination on the basis of sales. Also, Manyavar doesn’t change its margin module based on sales. So many brands have a variable module of margins, based on the volume of sales but Manyavar doesn’t. So even in the times of low sales, Manyavar gives us our due and this speaks a lot about the trust that the brand puts in us. Also, the brand’s teachings in customer relationship and business management are lessons that have helped our own flagship stores, Abhishek Traders, grow and flourish.
