My journey into the beauty industry was unexpected but life changing. After completing my master's degree in finance, I returned to my hometown, Kanpur, and stumbled upon an opportunity to work with a beauty brand. This brief stint opened a window into an industry I hadn’t considered before. In 2002, I was presented with the chance to open a Lakmē Salon, marking the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey.
My journey with Lakmē Salon began in 2003 when I launched my first outlet in Kanpur. It was a pivotal moment that changed my life. The overwhelming success of my salon inspired me to dream bigger. Over the years, with unwavering support and guidance from Lakmē, I’ve been able to expand significantly. Today, I own 7 Lakmē Salons and 4 Lakmē Academies across Kanpur and Meerut. It’s been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and fulfilment, working with one of the best brands in the industry.

Lakmē Salon goes above and beyond in empowering its franchise partners. The brand provides a robust support system, from operational guidance to tailored training programs for franchisees, salon managers, and beauty professionals. The training modules ensure we stay ahead of industry trends and are equipped with the latest techniques, helping us deliver premium experiences to customers. Now, we have the Pragati app, which is designed specifically for experts. It not only allows experts to access my training materials, marketing resources, and other essential tools, but it also helps them keep track of their targets, monitor performance, and view rewards. The app’s review system ensures experts can assess their progress and continuously improve. Lakme’s constant emphasis on innovation keeps our teams motivated and in sync with the evolving demands of the beauty market

The brand’s structured support system ensures that I can always rely on its teams, whether it’s the Area Business Managers (ABMs) or the Business Excellence team. They are approachable, proactive, and solutions-oriented, making it easy to navigate challenges. The open communication channels and consistent support create a seamless partnership, which has been instrumental in our success.
In the next five years, I envision becoming one of the biggest franchise partners for Lakmē Salon in India. With Lakmē Salon’s forward-thinking approach, I am confident that our association will only grow stronger, setting new benchmarks for excellence in the beauty industry.
Technology has been a game-changer in streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. Lakmē Salon equips us with a dedicated software for billing and CRM, which simplifies customer management and ensures seamless service delivery. Additionally, the Auto Replenish Stock System ensures we are always well-stocked, minimizing disruptions and optimizing inventory management. We also have the Franchisee Management Portal, which consolidates everything that a franchisee needs, from marketing materials to finance, under one roof. These tech integrations allow us to focus on what truly matters- creating exceptional experiences for our customers while maintaining operational excellence.
