AI-driven registration speeds up Ola Electric’s vehicle deliveries across India
Ola Electric has introduced #HyperDelivery, enabling customers to receive a fully registered EV within hours. The pilot has begun in Bengaluru, with nationwide expansion planned soon.

Ola Electric has introduced #HyperDelivery, a new initiative aimed at ensuring same-day registration and delivery of its electric vehicles. The pilot programme has commenced in Bengaluru and will be expanded across India in the coming months, the company announced.

Under this initiative, customers can complete their vehicle purchase either online or at an Ola Electric Store and receive a fully registered vehicle within hours. The company has integrated the registration process into its operations, significantly reducing delivery timelines.

Ola Electric has incorporated artificial intelligence (AI) to automate multiple steps in the registration process. By managing the registration in-house and eliminating third-party intermediaries, the company has optimised processing time and improved overall efficiency.

“We have streamlined the registration process using AI and internal automation. #HyperDelivery simplifies vehicle purchase and delivery, ensuring a faster and more seamless experience for our customers,” an Ola Electric spokesperson said.

Following the Bengaluru pilot, Ola Electric plans to introduce #HyperDelivery in multiple cities across India during this quarter.

Ola Electric is a leading Indian electric vehicle manufacturer with a strong focus on technology and production, including battery cell development. The company operates the Ola Futurefactory and is developing an EV hub in Tamil Nadu, which includes the upcoming Ola Gigafactory. Its products are available through a network of over 4,000 stores and an online platform.

However, in recent months, the company has faced challenges related to vehicle registration processes and financial disputes. Earlier this year, discrepancies emerged between Ola Electric’s reported sales figures and government registration data. In February 2025, Ola Electric reported sales of over 25,000 electric two-wheelers, while data from the government’s Vahan portal recorded only around 8,600 registrations for the same period. The company attributed this mismatch to ongoing negotiations with vehicle registration vendors, which caused a temporary backlog.

Adding to its challenges, Ola Electric Technologies Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ola Electric Mobility Limited, faced insolvency petitions from Rosmerta Digital Services and Rosmerta Safety Systems—key providers of vehicle registration services and high-security registration plates. The petitions, filed with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Bengaluru, cited unpaid dues amounting to approximately ₹24.5 crore ($3 million).

As of March 25, 2025, Ola Electric announced that it had settled all outstanding dues with the Rosmerta Group, leading to the withdrawal of insolvency petitions. The company also stated that the backlog from the earlier data mismatch had been resolved and that it was addressing the government’s request for further information on the matter.

In response to these challenges, Ola Electric has taken steps to automate and internalise the vehicle registration process. By reducing its dependence on external vendors, the company aims to enhance efficiency, minimise delays, and improve the customer experience.

With #HyperDelivery, Ola Electric is now positioning itself as a leader in instant EV deliveries, setting a new industry benchmark for seamless vehicle purchase and registration.
