In a significant boost to India’s electric mobility landscape, BattRE Electric Mobility, EV91, and evpe have joined forces to deploy 10,000 electric two-wheelers nationwide. The collaboration, facilitated by startup enabler BizDateUp, is part of a ₹100 crore deal aimed at enhancing last-mile delivery efficiency and promoting sustainable transportation.
As part of the agreement, BattRE will manufacture and supply the electric vehicles, while evpe will provide financing solutions to support the large-scale deployment. EV91, a third-party logistics partner and fleet aggregator, will integrate the vehicles into its logistics operations across India.
The rollout is expected to commence in the coming months and is poised to significantly contribute to the green mobility ecosystem, particularly in urban and semi-urban areas.
Speaking about the collaboration, Pankaj Sharma, Co-Founder of BattRE Electric Mobility, said, “This partnership strengthens our presence in the EV ecosystem by making electric mobility more accessible for logistics and daily commute.”
Arun Kumar, Founder & CEO of EV91, added, “The deployment of 10,000 EVs is a step toward reducing urban congestion and carbon emissions. It reflects our commitment to providing smart, sustainable transportation alternatives.”
Rohan Yeggina, Co-Founder and CEO of evpe, highlighted the financial accessibility aspect of the initiative. “This collaboration underscores our mission to lower the barriers to EV ownership through smart financing solutions.”
The initiative also showcases the rising importance of strategic collaborations within India’s startup and EV ecosystem, and marks a major milestone in the transition to cleaner transportation modes.
