Blinkit’s revenue from operations for the financial year that ended March
31, 2024 stood at Rs 2,301 cr against Rs 806 cr in the last fiscal, as per the regulatory filing.
Industry reports quote Albinder Dhindsa, the CEO of Blinkit, saying that store expansion is one of the
key vectors of growth for the brand.
"In addition to scaling up the existing store network and use cases, we will be adding more use cases
so the Blinkit platform is even more useful in the everyday lives of our customers," said Albinder
Dhindsa, Founder and CEO, Blinkit.
In Q4 FY24, the company opened 75 new dark stores taking the total store count to 526. The brand
aims to add another 100 stores in the current April-June quarter and is eyeing the 1,000 store mark
by the end of FY25.The 10-minute grocery delivery firm currently operates across 26 cities and is
focussing on expanding in its top 8 cities.
According to the latest Goldman Sachs report, quick delivery service Blinkit has become more
valuable than Zomato’s core food delivery business. Zomato acquired Blinkit, which was previously
known as Grofers, in 2022.
