French menswear brand Celio has announced a significant leadership reshuffle in its India operations as part of its renewed strategy to accelerate growth in one of its key international markets. Following the exit of CEO Satyen Momaya after an eight-year tenure, the company is ushering in a new leadership team with a global lens and brand-centric focus.
In a strategic move, François Gomez has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Celio India. A long-time Celio executive with extensive experience managing the brand’s presence across Asia, the Middle East, and South America, Gomez brings a global perspective paired with a deep understanding of emerging markets.
Joining him is Nidhi Raj, named Chief Brand Officer (CBO). Raj, who has nearly 20 years of experience in retail, product development, and design, will spearhead Celio’s brand evolution in India—steering creative direction, product strategy, and customer engagement for the country’s style-savvy male audience.
Manoj Bathija will continue to lead Sales and Operations, ensuring continuity in Celio’s retail and omnichannel performance nationwide.
The leadership transition signals Celio’s commitment to reinforcing its India strategy, focusing on synergy between brand identity, product innovation, and customer experience. The company aims to sharpen its positioning in the competitive menswear space while expanding its footprint across both digital and physical retail channels.
“With this new team, we are setting the stage for Celio India’s next chapter—one that is globally informed but locally rooted,” the company said in a statement.
