EV charging solutions provider EVERTA has announced the commencement of its DC charger manufacturing operations in India. The company has established a production facility in Bengaluru, which is scheduled to begin operations in the third quarter of 2025.
EVERTA aims to manufacture 3,000 DC chargers annually by 2027 and capture 15% market share in India's DC charging segment by 2030. The plant will produce DC fast chargers ranging from 60kW to 320kW and beyond, designed to cater to electric three-wheelers, passenger vehicles, buses, and trucks.
In its initial phase, the company plans to achieve over 50% domestic value addition, with the goal of complete localization in the future. The initiative aligns with the Indian government’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat programs. EVERTA expects to generate 400–450 direct and indirect employment opportunities through this project.
EVERTA has also entered a technology licensing agreement with StarCharge, a global EV charging leader with more than 2 million units deployed across 60 countries. Under the partnership, EVERTA will manufacture and service DC fast chargers in India using StarCharge’s technology.
According to the company, achieving a 15% market share will help build infrastructure to support 4 million electric vehicles, aiding the Indian government’s goal of 30% EV adoption in new vehicle sales. EVERTA plans to work closely with charge point operators, fleet operators, and enterprises to expand its charging network.
Managing Director Benny Parihar said that the company’s focus is on creating charging solutions tailored to Indian conditions and consumer needs. CEO Manasvi Sharma emphasized EVERTA’s service-first approach, focusing on uptime and customer support.
India electric vehicle sector continues to grow rapidly as part of its sustainability and energy security goals. As public and private investments increase in charging infrastructure, EVERTA's market entry is well-timed to meet the rising demand for fast and efficient charging solutions.
