
JSW MG Motor India recorded sales of 5,500 units in March 2025, marking a 9% year-over-year (YoY) increase compared to 5,050 units sold in March 2024. The company’s impressive growth was driven by strong demand for its electric vehicles (EVs).
MG Motor India’s EV lineup—Comet, ZS EV, and Windsor—accounted for over 85% of total sales, underscoring the rising consumer preference for electric mobility. The MG Windsor, India’s best-selling electric car, registered its highest-ever monthly sales in March 2025, reaffirming its growing popularity in the market.
The company stated that consumer interest in EVs is continuously increasing, further supported by favorable government policies and expanding charging infrastructure. To strengthen its presence in the Indian market, MG Motor India is focusing on innovation and technological advancements in the EV segment.
The MG Windsor, priced from ₹9.99 lakh, has become the highest-selling electric car in India. The MG Comet, available at an affordable ₹4.99 lakh, is gaining popularity in urban areas as a compact city EV. Meanwhile, the MG ZS EV, equipped with a 50.3 kWh battery offering a 461 km range, 176 PS power, and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds, is attracting premium SUV buyers.
JSW MG Motor India’s success reflects the growing consumer inclination towards electric vehicles and the company’s robust market strategy.
