FlixBus and Vertelo have signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly deploy 500 electric intercity coach buses across India. This partnership combines FlixBus’s extensive intercity travel network with Vertelo’s comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem solutions.
Currently, FlixBus connects over 200 cities across India through its digital-first booking platform. Through this partnership with Vertelo, it aims to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility solutions in intercity travel. Vertelo will provide customized financing and leasing options for electric buses, develop charging infrastructure, and collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure the deployment of suitable electric coach models.
Under the agreement, FlixBus will be responsible for generating demand for intercity electric bus routes and identifying key routes best suited for electric bus deployment. The partnership supports India’s vision of greener mobility while aligning with FlixBus’s broader pan-India expansion plans.

The partnership is also expected to generate employment opportunities within the electric mobility sector and strengthen the infrastructure required for large-scale electric bus operations. While FlixBus plans to further expand its network across India, Vertelo aims to solidify its position as a leading enabler of electric vehicle adoption through its integrated leasing, financing, and infrastructure solutions.
