GreenCell Mobility intercity electric bus service, NueGo, has launched electric AC sleeper bus service, marking a significant step toward sustainable long-distance travel. The company plans to expand operations across major routes soon.
The newly introduced sleeper buses will operate on key intercity routes, including Delhi–Amritsar, Bangalore–Chennai, Hyderabad–Rajahmundry, Chennai–Madurai, Vijayawada–Visakhapatnam, and Bangalore–Madurai. NueGo aims to strengthen its presence in the segment while promoting eco-friendly transportation solutions.
The buses come equipped with ergonomic berths featuring backrests, overhead storage, soft-touch interiors, ambient LED lighting, USB charging ports, night reading lamps, berth pockets, and modern sanitation facilities. The design incorporates an aerodynamically optimized FRP front fascia and a monocoque chassis for improved stability and handling.
For safety, the buses feature ABS braking, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronically Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS), and a rollover-engineered structure. They run on zero tailpipe emissions and utilize regenerative braking technology. With fast charging, the buses can cover up to 600 km daily.
NueGo has also introduced several passenger safety measures, including a 24x7 helpline, a “Pink Seat” booking option for women, clean mid-point stops, CCTV surveillance, GPS live tracking, driver breath analyzer tests, and a speed lock set at 80 km/h.
With this launch, NueGo aims to expand its footprint in India’s intercity travel sector, offering a green alternative to conventional fuel-powered buses and redefining sustainable long-distance travel.
