Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM), the EV arm of Jupiter Group, has launched its latest electric light commercial vehicle (e-LCV), the JEM TEZ. Alongside the launch, the company has also inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Indore, as part of its strategy to expand its footprint in the commercial EV sector and boost domestic production.
The newly launched JEM TEZ comes with a certified range of over 190 kilometers, an 80kW peak motor power, and a payload capacity of 1.05 tons. Designed for last-mile logistics and urban freight transport, the vehicle features fast-charging technology that enables it to gain 100+ kilometers of range in just an hour using a CCS2 charger. The e-LCV is priced at ₹10.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
To support the production and expansion of its EV lineup, JEM has set up a 2.5-acre manufacturing plant in Pithampur. The facility includes an in-house skateboard platform and vehicle assembly unit, with an initial annual production capacity of 8,000 to 10,000 e-LCVs. The company aims to scale up production in the coming years, contributing to domestic EV manufacturing and reducing reliance on imports.
As part of its national expansion strategy, JEM plans to launch the JEM TEZ in key cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, where EV adoption is on the rise.
To build a comprehensive EV ecosystem, Jupiter Electric Mobility has partnered with Porter, Pulse Energy, Battwheel, and Tapfin. These collaborations will focus on developing charging infrastructure, financing options, and after-sales support, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
With this launch, Jupiter Electric Mobility aims to strengthen its position in the commercial EV segment and contribute to India's growing electric mobility revolution.
