JSW MG Motor India has announced that India’s first Internet SUV, the MG Hector, is now certified to run on E20 fuel (20% ethanol blended petrol). This marks a significant step toward the company’s commitment to innovation and a sustainable automotive future.
The E20-compliant Hector will be available in 1.5-litre Petrol MT and CVT variants. In line with the Government of India’s mandate that all petrol vehicles manufactured post-April 1, 2025, must be E20 compliant, all petrol variants of Hector produced after March 31, 2025, will meet this standard. Notably, the MG Astor has already been E20 compliant since last year.
Rakesh Sen, Director of Sales at JSW MG Motor India, stated, “The popularity of the Hector is a testament to its exceptional quality and alignment with customer expectations. The introduction of the E20 version strongly reaffirms our commitment to sustainability and innovation.”
Launched in 2019, the MG Hector is known as India’s first Internet SUV, packed with best-in-class features such as a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 35.56 cm (14-inch) HD infotainment system, over 70 connected car features, advanced safety systems, and ADAS technology.
To enhance the car-buying experience, the company has also launched a special campaign called ‘Midnight Carnival’, where MG Motor showrooms will remain open until midnight every weekend for a limited time. Under this offer, 20 lucky MG Hector buyers stand a chance to win a dream trip to London, along with exclusive benefits worth up to ₹4 lakhs.
Featuring bold design, lowest-in-segment maintenance cost, and premium interiors, the MG Hector starts at an attractive price of ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
