- Jumboking Targets 18 New Stores in Bengaluru and Hyderabad by 2025
Jumboking, with 160 + stores across Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Pune is keen to strengthen its presence in Bengaluru & Hyderabad. The brand has recently opened one store in Bangalore and two more are in the pipeline.
Jumboking reported sales of Rs 110 crore in the last fiscal year, making it India's third-largest burger chain after McDonald's and Burger King. Founded in 2001 by selling vada pav, a popular street food in Maharashtra, Jumboking shifted its focus to burgers in 2017. The company aims to expand to 1,000 stores by 2030.
In an exclusive conversation with Franchise India, Dheeraj Gupta, the Founder of Jumboking confirms, “We will have 12 stores in Bengaluru and 6 stores in Hyderabad by March 2025 as we are keen on expanding in South Market.”
Dheeraj Gupta, the founder of Jumboking, emphasized the power of franchising in scaling businesses worldwide. He discussed how Jumboking's deep understanding of the Indian palate has given them a competitive edge in the market, despite burgers traditionally being a Western concept.
