
JSW MG Motor India, the country’s leading electric car manufacturer, has announced that nearly half of its EV sales in 2024 came from South India. As per VAHAN data, the company sold a total of 22,646 electric vehicles across India, with 10,698 units being retailed in the southern region alone. This highlights the growing acceptance of MG EVs and the brand’s strong market presence in these states.
Among the top-performing states, Karnataka emerged as the highest-selling market for JSW MG Motor India, followed by Telangana and Kerala. The remarkable sales figures indicate a rising demand for electric vehicles, fueled by supportive government policies, improving charging infrastructure, and growing customer preference for sustainable mobility. MG’s diverse EV portfolio continues to cater to a broad range of consumers, further strengthening its footprint in the Indian EV market.
The MG Windsor, starting at ₹9.99 lakh with a Battery-as-a-Service option at ₹3.9/km, has become India’s best-selling electric car since its launch. MG Comet, priced at ₹4.99 lakh, is gaining popularity as a compact, city-friendly EV with futuristic design and advanced tech features.
The MG ZS EV, India’s first pure-electric Internet SUV, starts at ₹13.99 lakh and offers a 50.3kWh battery with a range of 461 km on a single charge. With a powerful 176PS motor and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds, it stands out in the premium electric SUV segment.
