Komaki Electric Vehicles has launched its new X3 electric scooter series, priced from ₹52,999 onwards. To celebrate Women’s Day, the company has introduced a special two-for-₹99,999 offer, making electric mobility more accessible.
The X3 series features lithium-ion batteries with quick charging, a digital dashboard, multiple riding modes, and enhanced security features. Designed aerodynamically, the scooter comes with LED lighting and premium alloy wheels. The company states that the model is tailored to meet the needs of women riders.
"The launch of our new X3 series can be considered another milestone in leading the EV revolution of the country," said Gunjan Malhotra, Co-founder of Komaki Electric Vehicles.
The X3 scooters will be available through Komaki dealerships across India and on e-commerce platforms. The Women’s Day promotion is expected to boost sales and encourage more riders to adopt eco-friendly transportation.
Komaki has expanded its product lineup, now offering 14 electric scooter models, including the affordable X-One (₹35,999) and the premium Venice (₹1.67 lakh). It has also ventured into electric motorcycles, including India’s first electric cruiser, the Ranger.
Komaki emphasizes advanced lithium-ion battery technology, offering a range of 65 km to over 200 km per charge, depending on the model. Innovations such as regenerative braking, Bluetooth connectivity, and fire-resistant TN-95 batteries have further strengthened its position in the market.
Unlike several EV startups, Komaki’s growth has been driven without relying on government subsidies or external funding. The company reported an impressive 1200% growth within the first 20 months of its EV division’s launch, reaching a turnover of ₹301 crores by March 2022.
Led by directors Rajender Pal Malhotra and Gunjan Malhotra, Komaki has built a strong presence with over 400 dealerships across India. The company targets urban commuters, delivery services, and eco-conscious riders, competing with major brands such as Okinawa, Ola Electric, and Ather Energy.
Komaki’s expansion aligns with India’s increasing focus on electric mobility. The Indian government has introduced various incentives to promote EV adoption, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.
The electric two-wheeler segment has witnessed significant growth in recent years, with domestic and international players investing heavily in battery technology and charging infrastructure. Industry analysts predict this momentum will continue as India moves towards a greener transportation ecosystem.
