Lenskart, led by Peyush Bansal, saw its sales approach the INR 4,000 crore milestone in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023. The Delhi-NCR startup disclosed sales of INR 3,788 crore for FY23, marking a notable 152% surge from INR 1,502.7 crore in the preceding fiscal year.
The company predominantly generated 95% of its revenue from eyewear product sales, which escalated by 154.6% to INR 3,609.8 crore in FY23 from INR 1,417.7 crore in FY22.
Established in 2010 by Bansal, Amit Chaudhury, and Sumeet Kapahi, Lenskart operates as an omnichannel eyewear retailer, expanding its footprint across Singapore, the UAE, and other regions. It boasts a customer base of 20 million in India.
Considering additional income streams, Lenskart's overall revenue reached INR 3,927.9 crore, surging by 142.7% from INR 1,618.3 crore in the preceding fiscal year.
