Lohia Auto, a key player in India’s electric vehicle (EV) industry, has rebranded itself as Zuperia Auto Private Limited (ZAPL). While the company will continue to market electric vehicles under the “Lohia” brand, it has introduced a new brand, “Youdha," targeting the mass-market electric three-wheeler segment.
The rebranding signals a strategic shift aimed at expanding ZAPL’s footprint in the EV sector by catering to a wider customer base, including mobility entrepreneurs, fleet operators, and independent drivers. With over 16 years of experience in the Indian EV market, the company operates with an annual production capacity exceeding 1,00,000 vehicles and a network of over 120 dealerships across the country.
Ayush Lohia, Director of Zuperia Auto Pvt Ltd, stated that the transition aligns with the company’s commitment to strengthening its role in electric mobility. “While the Lohia brand has always focused on innovation and accessibility, Youdha will enable us to reach a larger audience and provide practical EV solutions tailored for professional users,” he said.
The name “Youdha” is inspired by the Sanskrit word “Yodha," meaning warrior, symbolising resilience and determination—qualities often associated with individuals relying on electric three-wheelers for their livelihood. The brand’s logo integrates elements of a warrior’s shield and an electric charging socket, representing its focus on the three-wheeler EV segment.
The launch of Youdha comes at a time when India’s EV market is witnessing rapid expansion, driven by government incentives, growing consumer awareness, and the push for sustainable mobility. ZAPL aims to strengthen its position in the electric three-wheeler segment by focusing on product accessibility and brand engagement, positioning Youdha as a reliable and efficient mobility solution for a growing customer base.
