Mobec Innovation, a provider of mobile EV charging and energy storage solutions, has announced its entry into lithium battery recycling through a partnership-based expansion model. This initiative aims to address the growing battery waste generated by electric vehicles, solar energy systems, and industrial applications, while supporting India’s broader environmental and Net Zero commitments.
The company has formed its first strategic partnership in the industrial hub of Greater Noida. This collaboration marks the beginning of Mobec’s efforts to build a nationwide framework for lithium battery recycling, enabling efficient resource recovery and enhanced environmental compliance.
Mobec’s new model allows strategic partners to access its recycling technologies, operational systems, and technical expertise. This setup is designed to support the safe and efficient recovery of valuable materials, including rare metals, from used batteries.
Harry Bajaj, Founder and CEO of Mobec Innovation, said, “The rising use of lithium-ion batteries presents both a challenge and an opportunity. Through partnerships, we aim to enable responsible environmental practices while creating viable business models.”
In the initial phase, Mobec will focus on capacity building and ensuring long-term financial and environmental sustainability for its partners. The company is also in talks with potential collaborators in other regions across India.
Mobec’s current focus includes battery waste from electric vehicles, consumer electronics, energy storage systems (ESS), and industrial equipment. The company also plans to expand into backup power systems and deepen its presence in battery recycling to support a circular economy.
Mobec’s in-house chemistry team will oversee the recycling process to ensure the safe and efficient recovery of materials. An integrated inventory management system will also be deployed to enhance material tracking throughout the recycling cycle.
Based in Noida, Mobec Innovation Pvt. Ltd. offers mobile EV charging solutions (ranging from 5 kW to 60 kW), battery recycling services, and energy storage systems. Its products and services support electric mobility infrastructure while promoting material recovery and energy efficiency across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. The company is currently scaling up its plant operations to meet growing nationwide demand.
