Montra Electric has announced a strategic partnership with Steam-A to integrate the Iris EV Charging Management Suite into its Powerdock charging network. The collaboration aims to bolster charging infrastructure to support Montra's growing electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) operations.
As part of the agreement, Steam-A will implement its AI-driven predictive maintenance system and real-time operational monitoring across Montra’s charging stations. This advanced technology is expected to minimize downtime, reduce operational costs, and provide data-driven insights for continuous service enhancement.
Commenting on the partnership, Saju Nair, CEO of TIVOLT Electric Vehicles, the SCV division of Montra Electric, said, “We are strengthening our commitment to innovation and customer-first solutions. This collaboration will drive greater EV adoption while ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.”
The partnership follows Montra Electric’s expansion in the e-SCV market after the successful launch of its EVIATOR vehicle. The company has been developing its Powerdock charging network to accommodate its expanding customer base in the commercial logistics sector.
Vishwanath Surendiran, Co-founder of Steam-A, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating, “Through this partnership, we aim to deliver industry-leading reliability and an enhanced customer experience.”
With India’s EV charging infrastructure evolving to meet rising demand, industry experts highlight the necessity of robust and efficient charging networks for commercial fleet operators.
