Neuron Energy in the electric vehicle (EV) battery industry, has inaugurated a cutting-edge 5-acre manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Built at an investment of ₹25 crore, this advanced facility is poised to produce 1.5 GWh of lithium-ion batteries annually, showcasing the company commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions in India.
Strategically designed to address the growing demand for EV and energy storage solutions, the facility will manufacture batteries for diverse applications, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, golf carts, drones, battery energy storage systems, and telecom solutions. It also houses a 6,500 sq. ft. Experience Centre to demonstrate Neuron Energy’s innovative technologies and a 5,000 sq. ft. Research and Development Centre dedicated to energy storage advancements.
Marking its second appearance at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, Neuron Energy emphasized its alignment with the Make in India initiative and its contribution to the nation’s EV ecosystem. The expo served as a significant platform for industry stakeholders to exchange ideas and highlight innovations in sustainable transportation.
Speaking on the occasion, Neuron Energy CEO Pratik Kamdar underlined the importance of the new facility in meeting India’s electrification goals and the increasing demand for scalable and sustainable battery solutions. He reiterated the company’s focus on local manufacturing to reduce import reliance and drive innovation in clean energy systems.
