Odysse Electric, a prominent Indian two-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has successfully delivered over 1,500 electric scooters to Zypp Electric, a leading fleet operator specialising in last-mile delivery services. This delivery is part of a larger order comprising 40,000 electric vehicles, scheduled to be fulfilled over the next three years.
The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of eco-friendly transportation solutions, contributing significantly to reducing the carbon footprint of urban mobility in India. Speaking on the milestone, Nemin Vora, CEO of Odysse Electric, expressed optimism about the growing acceptance of sustainable transport. “Each scooter delivered brings us closer to mainstreaming sustainable mobility. This collaboration with Zypp Electric highlights the increasing demand for eco-friendly transportation solutions in India. The delivery of over 1,500 scooters is an important milestone, and we look forward to supporting Zypp Electric mission of providing sustainable last-mile delivery solutions,” Vora said.
Odysse Electric, established in 2020, offers a diverse lineup of electric vehicles catering to various customer segments. The flagship models include the Vader electric motorcycle, equipped with a 7-inch Android touchscreen display, an AIS-156-approved battery, five driving modes, and 18 litres of storage capacity. The EVOQIS electric bike, another standout offering, features four driving modes, keyless entry, anti-theft capabilities, and a motor cut-off switch.
For high-speed scooter enthusiasts, the SNAP comes with an AIS-156 certified portable battery, a waterproof motor, and a display that provides distance-to-empty readings and CAN-enabled functionalities. The HAWK Li is marketed as India’s first high-speed scooter to feature cruise control and an integrated music system, complemented by a portable battery.
On the low-speed spectrum, Odysse Electric's E2Go series offers options like the Lite, E2Go+, and E2GO Graphene, all equipped with portable batteries, USB charging, and keyless entry. For practical urban use, the Racer Lite V2 and V2+ scooters include dual batteries, LED lighting, and ample boot space. Logistics operators can benefit from the Trot 2.0, a low-speed loader scooter featuring an IP65-rated battery, breakdown assistance, and a digital speedometer.
The delivery of these 1,500 scooters underscores the growing momentum in India’s EV market and highlights the role of partnerships in driving sustainable mobility solutions.
