Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), a leading electric vehicle manufacturer focused on sustainable transportation, has announced a partnership with the Naari Shakti Women Welfare Charitable Trust to deploy 2,500 electric Pink Auto Rickshaws exclusively for women drivers across India. The initiative is part of OSM’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts aimed at empowering women and enhancing their participation in the mobility sector.
The electric three-wheelers, priced at ₹2,59,999 (on-road, Delhi), will be offered at a nominal interest rate of just 1%. According to OSM, the running cost of these vehicles is approximately one-fourth that of conventional CNG-powered autos, making them more economical and environmentally friendly. Designed with safety and convenience in mind, the Pink Autos are intended to improve last-mile connectivity while creating new income opportunities for women, especially in urban and semi-urban regions.
The initiative aligns with national programmes like Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and reinforces the gender inclusion priorities highlighted during India’s G20 Presidency. The first phase of the rollout will begin in the Delhi NCR region, followed by expansions in Bangalore, North Karnataka, and Chennai.
OSM has committed to offering 24x7 service support for these vehicles. Additionally, an AI-powered chatbot will assist users with scheduling services, handling maintenance queries, and providing real-time updates. Each vehicle will also be equipped with GPS tracking and emergency alert systems to enhance driver safety.
To ensure long-term success, selected women drivers will receive training in vehicle operation and financial literacy, enabling them to manage their businesses effectively.
Omega Seiki Mobility continues to drive innovation in clean mobility by integrating inclusive and sustainable practices into its product offerings. The Naari Shakti Women Welfare Charitable Trust, OSM’s partner in this initiative, is a non-profit organization committed to the socio-economic upliftment of women through access to education, healthcare, livelihoods, and social support.
