As part of this initiative, the consortium will deploy 565 nine-meter and 110 twelve-meter fully electric buses across eight major cities in the state—Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Bikaner, Bhilwara, and Jodhpur. The project aims to enhance urban public transportation, reduce air pollution, and cut dependency on fossil fuels.
This order is part of the Letter of Confirmation of Quantity (LOCQ) issued by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) for electric buses across India. The Rajasthan allocation stands out as one of the largest state-level initiatives under the national program.
The announcement follows EKA Mobility’s recent contract wins from Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) worth approximately ₹150 crore and another from Nagpur Municipal Corporation valued at around ₹400 crore, further strengthening its presence in the electric public transport sector.
EKA Mobility, operated by Pinnacle Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd., is backed by equity partners Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Japan) and VDL Groep (Netherlands). The company focuses on developing electric commercial vehicles through modular design and lean manufacturing, aiming to make electric mobility affordable and accessible for mass deployment.
