Retail expansion in India's jewellery sector continues to align with market demand, as seen with PNG Jewellers' latest move in Pune. The brand, known for its 193-year legacy, has opened a new store and renovated its flagship showroom on Laxmi Road. The launch took place on March 23, 2025.
The growing demand for gold, diamond, platinum, and gemstone jewellery in Pune prompted this expansion. The two stores, spanning a combined 20,000 sq. ft., were inaugurated by actress Madhuri Dixit, alongside PNG Jewellers’ Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Saurabh Gadgil, Parag Gadgil, and other members of the PNG Jewellers family.
Dr. Saurabh Gadgil stated, “Pune holds a special place in our hearts, as it is where our flagship store continues to stand as an example to our heritage and trust. Now, the brand has a total of 53 stores across the world. As we strive to strengthen our retail network further, this expansion brings us closer to our patrons, ensuring they have convenient access to the finest jewellery, steeped in tradition and craftsmanship. We look forward to serving the people of Pune with the same commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and trust.”
The renovated flagship showroom features a design inspired by traditional Maharashtrian Wada-style courtyard houses. It specializes in gold jewellery, including Kalkatti, temple, antique, and kundan designs, with a dedicated bridal lounge offering private makeup stations. The newly opened two-story showroom focuses on studded jewellery, including diamond, platinum, uncut, polki, and coloured gemstones. With this expansion, PNG Jewellers has increased its product range by 30-40%, providing a wider selection for customers.
Located 500 meters from the flagship store, the new showroom is offering promotional benefits, including 0 percent deduction on old gold exchange, up to 40 percent off on gold jewellery-making charges, and up to 100 percent off on diamond jewellery-making charges, as part of its grand opening celebrations.
