- Preity G. Zinta and Shubman Gill Invest in Drive Fitt; Gym Targets 300 Franchises Across India in Three Years
Drive Fitt, an innovative 24/7 gym chain co-founded by Mark Sellar and Deke Smith is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of its inaugural facility in Gurugram, set to open in the fourth quarter of 2024. Bollywood Star Preity G. Zinta, along with Indian cricketer Shubman Gill, has invested in Drive Fitt as the Gym aims for 300 franchises across India within three years.
Drive Fitt seamlessly integrates cricket and fitness, offering state-of-the-art facilities that include cardio, strength, conditioning, and cricket-skills training. Catering to both cricket enthusiasts and fitness lovers, the gym provides personalized training sessions with certified personal trainers and professional cricket coaches, all conveniently accessible under one roof.
"Our mission at Drive Fitt is to make high-quality fitness and cricket training accessible to everyone without compromising on affordability," said the co-founders. "We are committed to creating a community where members can achieve their fitness goals and enhance their cricket skills." Confirms Deke Smith, Co-Founder, Drive Fitt in an online interaction with Franchise India
With a focus on affordability and quality, Drive Fitt aims to revolutionize the fitness and cricket training landscape, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to stay fit and healthy.
Drive Fitt has appointed Nikhil Kakkar, former COO of Gold’s Gym, as its COO. Kakkar, who has 16 years of experience at Gold’s Gym, will spearhead the company’s operations and franchising efforts.
Drive Fitt is launching its flagship location in Gurugram in October, followed by Noida. These first two facilities are company-owned. The company then plans to franchise the business across India, aiming to sell the first 20 locations quickly. Data suggests that Drive Fitt could potentially have up to 800 locations in India, given the population and affordability. The facility is open to everyone, not just aspiring cricketers, according to Smith. Smith also emphasized that the initial focus is on securing the first 20 franchises. He noted that they have received significant interest through their networks, especially from Nikhil's connections. The company expects to sign up the first 20 franchises quickly and then scale up to 50, 100, and beyond.
