This marks the group's first property in the state and represents a strategic move to strengthen its presence in India's leisure travel segment.
The new property, branded as Ramee Wolkenburg Resorts and Spa, will be operated by Wolkenburg under the Ramee name. While Ramee Group will provide its established operational standards, marketing support, and brand visibility, the daily operations will remain with the franchisee. The collaboration aligns Ramee’s international brand value with Wolkenburg’s local positioning.
Located in Munnar’s hill region, the resort will offer 70 rooms and villas, a multi-cuisine restaurant, wellness and spa services, a swimming pool, and indoor recreational facilities. The property aims to serve both vacationers and corporate travelers seeking premium accommodations in Kerala.
Saurabh Gahoi, Senior Vice President, Ramee Group of Hotels, said, “We are thrilled to announce the signing of this franchise agreement with Wolkenburg Resorts and Spa as our franchisee in Munnar. Kerala's rich heritage and growing tourism appeal make it a natural fit for the Ramee brand. Through this partnership, we aim to deliver our signature hospitality and create a premier destination for both leisure travelers and corporate guests.”
Rajagopalan Nair, Owner of Wolkenburg Resorts and Spa, commented, “Becoming a franchisee of the Ramee Group is a significant step forward for us. This partnership allows us to tap into their global hospitality expertise and robust network across India and the GCC. We are confident that Ramee Wolkenburg Resorts and Spa will set new benchmarks in Munnar’s luxury hospitality space.” The resort is expected to open in the second quarter of the current financial year.
