Ravi Mehra Appointed as MD of Uno Minda Amid Major Board Restructuring

Uno Minda has announced significant administrative changes to strengthen the company’s operations and management. Ravi Mehra, currently serving as Deputy Managing Director, has been elevated to the position of Managing Director. A fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Mehra has been a part of Uno Minda since 1995 and has played a pivotal role in the company's impressive growth over the past three decades.

As part of its restructuring efforts, Uno Minda has decided to separate the roles of Chairman and Managing Director. Nirmal Kumar Minda, who previously held both positions, will now transition to the role of Executive Chairman. He will focus on strategic direction, business oversight, mentoring the leadership team, and fostering employee development and well-being.

To enhance the Board’s diversity and expertise, the company has appointed four new members:

Shekar Viswanathan - Joins as an Independent Director. A retired Vice Chairman and Whole-time Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motors Private Limited, he brings over four decades of diverse industry experience.

Abhay Damle - A former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from the 1989 batch, he has held key government positions, including Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and Director at the Central Institute of Road Transport, Pune.

Paridhi Minda and Pallak Minda - Appointed as Non-Executive Directors, they have been associated with the Uno Minda Group since 2001, contributing their expertise in management and entrepreneurship.
