Urja Mobility, a leading innovator in electric vehicle (EV) solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Eastman Auto and Power Ltd., a market leader in India's energy storage sector through its subsidiary Eastman New Energy Private Limited. This strategic partnership aims to accelerate India's transition to sustainable urban mobility by converting 20,000 lead-acid-powered e-rickshaws to advanced lithium-ion battery technology.
The collaboration will combine Urja Mobility’s advanced battery leasing model with Eastman’s expertise in lithium-ion technology to provide significant benefits, including:

✅ 74,070 Tonnes of CO₂ Reduction Every 3 Years – A major step toward India's carbon neutrality goals.
Urja Mobility has a robust EV data ecosystem, with over 3 billion kilometers of real-world vehicle performance data collected from Indian streets. This allows continuous optimization of battery performance, fleet efficiency, and urban mobility solutions.
