As India braces for another scorching summer, Zepto, the quick-commerce platform, has joined forces with Fast&Up and Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan to provide much-needed hydration support to its delivery partners and store personnel. In an effort to assist over 1,00,000 frontline workers across more than 80 cities, Fast&Up will distribute hydration supplement packets at Zepto stores.
With temperatures soaring, staying hydrated is crucial for the delivery teams who work tirelessly to deliver groceries and essentials to customers in record time. Zepto’s delivery partners, packers, pickers, and store staff are at the heart of the company’s operations, with each worker navigating short, pre-mapped routes to fulfill Zepto’s signature 10-minute delivery promise. The initiative is especially important during the summer months, as frequent outdoor exposure in the heat can lead to dehydration and fatigue.
Fast&Up's contribution, which is part of a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Zepto, will provide its hydration supplement, Fast&Up Reload, to delivery personnel working in challenging conditions. The packets will be distributed at Zepto’s stores across the country to ensure that workers remain hydrated throughout the day.
Vikas Sharma, Chief Operating Officer at Zepto, emphasized the importance of supporting their employees. "Our people are at the core of everything we do. Our delivery partners and store teams are essential in ensuring our promise of speed, and it's our responsibility to ensure their well-being, especially during the summer months," he said. "This partnership with Fast&Up is our way of providing large-scale hydration support."
In a special event held in Mumbai, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, also the brand ambassador for Fast&Up, took part in the distribution of hydration packets. Dhawan met with delivery partners to recognize their hard work and dedication, highlighting their vital role in the quick-commerce industry.
