Arthur has over 25 years experience in retail food trade and devised the FUNK concept in 2005 after identifying a need in the Australian market for the white collar worker by offering quick, easy food and high quality Barista coffee.

Arthur's background in civil engineering assisted him with the design and layout of the Funk stores, with his experience applied to refining all aspects of the business style cafe. FUNK offers a simple, funky and consistent concept. FUNK’s mandate is Fresh, Natural, Local with the aim in each city being to source the best quality food and coffee.
